Rossana and Michael
The first time I photographed Rossana and Michael, we were traipsing through Rock Creek Park with their dogs in tow for an engagement shoot. The next time we met, Rossana was running around a hotel room getting ready for a traditional Iranian wedding where she and Michael would sit in front of an enormous spread of fruits, nuts, salt, black tea, and more that would ensure them a happy marriage.
In a wonderful, non-traditional reception choice, everyone headed to Eatonville after the ceremony, a restaurant in the U Street area of DC for the reception(on a personal note, my wife and I were the very first customers on the first day the restaurant opened). The food there is unapologetically Southern and the restaurant has beautiful murals that make for wonderful backdrops. The reception was a full-on dance party from the moment the couple arrived and the dancing lasted long into the night.
